What this job involves:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying for our projects, ensuring accurate cost estimations, and managing budgets effectively.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Lead and manage the quantity surveying team
Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
Manage project budgets and control costs
Prepare tender and contract documents
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers
Provide expert advice on contractual claims
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Implement and maintain quality control processes
Required Skills and Experience:.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Professional membership in a relevant body (e.g., RICS)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying,
Extensive knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods
Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Billing experience of both client and vendor billing .
