We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. This role involves working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and track defects. They must also ensure that the software meets the established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. The candidate will report to the Technical Team Lead on the assigned team.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Test Planning & Design:

Analyze requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Design, implement, and execute test scripts to ensure the software meets the business requirements.

Identify test requirements from project documentation and work with stakeholders to define test plans.

 

Test Execution:

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

Execute manual and automated tests following the test plan.

Report and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.

Perform re-testing of resolved defects to ensure the issues have been adequately addressed.

 

Documentation:

Document test results, prepare test reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all testing activities and processes.

 

Collaboration:

Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.

Provide feedback to improve software development processes and enhance product quality.

 

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that software applications are thoroughly tested and meet the company’s quality standards.

Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 

Experience:

3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

Experience with using JIRA for work assignments and defect tracking.

Experience using GitHub for version control.

Experience with using Test Management tools (examples: Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr)

 

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of XML 

Knowledge of MS Excel's advanced functions and formulas

Familiarity and exposure to test automation frameworks and to Selenium

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, SQL) is a plus.

 

Certifications:

ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.

 

Work Environment:


Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Must be a team player and willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Availability for occasional overtime or weekend work, as needed.
