Job Description
Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the implementation of Software Deployment and
Communication System Projects and will act and be recognized as the leader / focal point
for all aspects of assigned project(s). Responsible for delivering the contractual scope, on
schedule and within budget, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Must be able to utilize PM tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk
assessment, action item log, etc) to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions for any
issues related to assigned project(s). The PM is responsible for allocating all necessary
resources to meet project objectives, corporate financial, and customer satisfaction goals.
The project manager is responsible for direct communication to customer’s organization and
relevant senior stakeholders internally by conducting project reviews throughout the life of
the project. In addition, the project manager is responsible for the overall pre-tax profit of all
projects as well as managing all lifecycles (e.g. opportunity in Pre-sales, Post sales including
Change Orders, deployment and acceptance, maintenance , support, upgrade, growth &
expand and contract renewal )
Responsibilities:
Leads programs or portions of complex programs. Directs and coordinates the work
activities of the project team.
Manages the deployment and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products and
services , particularly Software Deployments, Software Upgrades, Software Licenses and
Product Lifecycle with customers after acceptance.
Demonstrates a firm understanding of all nine areas of PMBOK project management and
has expertise in two areas. Experienced in running project phases. Is able to oversee
development of the complete project plan. Is able to establish, track, and audit project
budgets, analyze variances and develop action plans as required in Polaris Methodology
Work with targeted Customers to develop a proactive individual Customer Success Plan
including establishing critical goals and key performance indicators
Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrade
of existing software solutions
Expert in New Product (e.g. Software, Patches, Processes, Method of Procedures/MOPs,
Upgrade, Release..etc ) Introduction (NPI) including working with all stakeholders to verify
documentations , testing cycles, quality gating are accurate and fit for purpose prior to
handover over to the project team and the customer.
Perform Integrated Change control and Impact assessment for any changes in the agreed
scope, schedule and cost to have solid project governance and increase Product & System
Integration revenue by upselling using Contract Change Orders
Lead the project team in reviewing and validating the proposals / bid and contracts to the
customer to ensure all the customer requirements addressed, there are no gaps /
ambiguities , risks identified with the mitigation actions and cost (including third parties
vendors / 3PVs) to ensure there are no impacts when the project awarded from time/
schedule, budget, quality and other contractual standpoints.
Assess vendor capabilities and vendors’ products and services to satisfy a complete system
implementation. Manage third parties vendors / 3PVs.
Manages projects from inception to completion, including tracking and evaluation of project
performance and contracts governance
Coordinates and participates in project reviews and status meetings, and communicates
project status. Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within
accepted quality metrics.
Utilizes project management methodologies, best practices and Polaris, to ensure maximum
project effectiveness, including Time Phase Budget, Technical Project Accounting, RRDT,
handovers from pre-sales, and handovers to maintenance.
Identify and develop opportunities for upselling and growth and enhancing project scope
through contract changes / variations.
Motivates the project team to ensure optimal performance.
Drives the development of business plans, strategies, initiatives, and approaches to take
advantage of business opportunities and continuous improvement areas.
Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role.
A project manager is accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives within the
stipulated time period and budget. Ensures that the three constraints (quality, cost and time)
that face every project are properly managed to align with the revenue forecast, target
margins and cash collection

Basic Requirements
People Management Skills
P6 / Planview and Salesforce
Project financial and technical accounting including Time Phase Budget (TPB) P&L,
Revenue Recognition Determination Terminology (RRDT), cost, revenue, margin, billing and
cash collection.
5+ years of project/program management or engineering experience or a Bachelor’s Degree
and 3+ years of project management experience
Experience with at least two of the following: Public Safety communications systems,
Cellular infrastructure, Military communications, Civil construction OR IT Networks in a
Software context
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Google Suite
PM Masters Certificate a plus ( PMP highly desired)
Understanding of two way radio / cellular infrastructure communications products, services,
and systems.
Experienced in managing an environment of software deployment and maintenance
Understanding of local public safety customers, such as police, fire, and emergency medical
services is a plus.
Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively as an individual and driving
cross functional teams of with general guidance toward objectives.
Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
Must be Internal and external management and reporting of project progress and financial
status of projects. (Financial management including revenue, cost, margin and cash flow)
