Job DescriptionJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager - MEP Lead to oversee the planning, execution, coordination, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end management of MEP activities from design review through project handover.
- Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and execution strategies for MEP works.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize delays and cost overruns.
MEP Design & Coordination
- Review and validate MEP designs, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve design and site issues.
- Ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with overall project requirements.
- Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs and performance.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor MEP engineers, site teams, and subcontractors.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide status updates to senior management.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all MEP installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Enforce safety standards and HSE requirements across project sites.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality reviews to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Support procurement activities, including technical evaluations and vendor selection.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Review and approve MEP-related invoices, progress reports, and change orders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in MEP project management within construction, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, residential, or data center projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale MEP installations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and building management systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
