Sola Wood Flowers is hiring a Head of Production to set up and run our manufacturing in India.
You'll be in charge of what happens on the floor: output, quality, people, and the kind of operational improvements that add up over time.
You need real manufacturing or factory ops experience. If you've worked in handcrafted or labor-heavy production, that's a big plus.

What You'll Own
- Daily production planning and execution across our Indian operations
- Hitting volume, quality, and turnaround targets
- Hiring, managing, and developing supervisors and production staff
- Improving throughput, efficiency, and labor productivity
- Setting and holding quality control standards
- Working with supply chain and planning so production lines up with demand
- Finding and running continuous improvement projects
- Owning production reporting and KPIs
- Staying on top of safety, labor, and operational compliance
What We're Looking For
- Based in Kolkata. This role is fully on-site.
- A track record running production or manufacturing operations
- Confident leading large teams in hands-on, labor-driven environments
- Execution-focused with strong operational instincts
- Comfortable letting data drive your decisions
- Willing to provide references. We hire carefully but we won't drag the process out.
- Up for 50+ hour weeks as the baseline. You'd be bored with less.

What a Day Might Look Like
- Building and adjusting production schedules and labor assignments
- Holding the quality bar across every flower we ship
- Solving bottlenecks on the floor as they come up
- Coaching production leads
- Working with leadership on unit economics and operational reliability
How Our Hiring Process Works
We define your KPIs and targets up front, so you'll never have to guess whether you're doing well.
The process is a short intro call, then a deeper technical interview focused on production. We usually make offers within 8 to 10 days of first contact, and we keep communication tight the whole way through.
We run on EOS/Traction. If you've used Scaling Up or OKRs you'll pick this up fast. If those are new to you, skim Traction and you'll be fine.
After the technical interview, we'll share how we think about pay, bonuses, and performance.
