The BlackRock Municipal Platform manages approximately $190 billion in municipal assets, bringing together scale, deep credit research, and robust technology across SMAs, funds, and ETFs. That scale provides differentiated market access, liquidity, and execution, supporting consistent portfolio construction across market cycles. The platform is designed to help advisors deliver personalized, tax-efficient outcomes backed by BlackRock’s municipal expertise and risk management framework.
The Municipal Fixed Income Group seeks a Product Strategy analyst to join the team with a key focus on product marketing materials, requests for information, and competitive analysis. The candidate will work closely with more senior members of the Fixed Income business. Individuals work closely in a team environment to develop and implement strategy and solutions that address our clients’ business needs. Our client base includes some of the largest, most sophisticated financial institutions in the world, as well as government institutions in North America and Europe, providing our analysts with diverse and challenging work experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a full understanding of BlackRock’s municipal line-up, strategy, and services with the ability to create and give detailed presentations on all of the above
Ability to monitor, understand and analyze market activity so to develop data and strategy that contributes to the multiple books of business within the municipal department.
Work with senior members of the product specialist team to maintain product and markets presentations and deliver requests for data and information in a timely manner
Update, maintain & monitor a suite of spreadsheets that contain vital information for accurate and timely information.
Update and maintain monthly competitive analysis product specific performance reports
Use technology to enhance both workflow as well as the overall experience within municipal strategy
Continue to develop and make more efficient a central location for information sharing, while providing input for future development and enhancement
Qualifications:
Masters in finance or equivalent qualification with superior academic record; progress towards CFA is a plus
Demonstrated record of academic achievement, work ethics, and leadership
MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are essential skills
Exceptional communication skills and an ability to synthesize complex issues and ideas. Solid written and oral skills
Superior organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Key Competencies:
1-4 years of relevant experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
High level of integrity to become a trusted partner to clients and peers
Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects.
Solid understanding of financial markets, statistics, institutions and institutional investment strategies
