Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessment and inventory of infrastructure and applications hosted in Acquired Entity Data Centers, including individual server CPU, RAM, Storage, virtual vs. physical, application/host mapping details, etc.
• Understand and translate business strategy/roadmap for AE Data Centers and applications into recommended technology solutions
• Create detailed SOW with assessment findings, risks, dependencies, assumptions and hosting cost estimates aligning with migration recommendation
• Present Optum's infrastructure and hosting solutions to business leaders and application owners, clearly articulating value propositions and cost implications
• Drive, lead, plan and execute extremely fluid and complex infrastructure projects managing multiple critical path deliverables with multiple teams simultaneously
• Fulfill customer and project objectives by developing and leading project execution functions including planning, tracking, reporting, reviews, quality management and communications, risks and issues
• Predict, understand, and document customer needs and work with technologists to design solutions
• Engage, collaborate and present regular status updates to Line of Business CIO's, key business stakeholders and senior technology leadership
• Manage project schedules, resources, and delivery commitments
• Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and resource cost estimates
• Responsible for keeping project information consolidated, organized and up to date
• Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
• Provide leadership in steering initiatives toward defined standard infrastructure solutions, platforms and best practices to achieve optimal requirements
• Collaborate with Customers and Finance partners to understand and represent specific and quantifiable financial, cost saving and revenue generating information for migration work. Provide required details and documentation to Finance for inclusion in annual DCIO/CIOP cost management/takeout MBO's
• Proactive issue identification and resolution. Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, problems and solutions. Support and assist teams to remove roadblocks, identify alternative options and resolve conflicts
• Demonstrated ability to use GenAI tools to improve productivity, streamline project workflows, and support data-informed decision-making.
• Familiarity with AI user personas and ability to apply them in project planning, risk assessments, and communication. Identify opportunities to embed AI into project processes to enhance efficiency, predict risks, and automate routine tasks.

• Collaborate with leads and help drive improvement opportunities that drive business and technology value
• Continually seek, recommend and lead opportunities outside of daily job responsibilities to adopt new services, improve customer experience, identify delivery process improvements, implement efficiencies, support a one-team culture, delivery solutions, processes and performance, within DCIO/Business Partner Engagement/IS Teams and across Optum Technology

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of Delivery Manager or Project Manager experience integrating and migrating multiple business areas or systems to Optum Datacenter offerings including public and private cloud solutions
• 8+ years of experience across multiple information systems disciplines demonstrating strong technical acumen and infrastructure technology experience
• 6+ years of infrastructure and Technology-based Program Delivery experience at a large enterprise
• Proven experience overseeing multiple, concurrent and complex IT initiatives
• Proven experience with budget tracking and complex cost benefit analysis
• Knowledge and exposure to GenAI tools to help drive project management and reporting efficiencies
• Proficiency in computer software including MS Project, Power Point, Excel
• Demonstrated ability to display a high degree of professional confidence and credibility with presence and communication skills to effectively represent IT-related concepts with executive-level management. Organize presentation's timing, purpose, key points, and approach to be engaging, focused, and relevant
• Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and ability to use considerable judgment to determine solutions, necessary escalations and to seek guidance on complex problems
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, multi-task and balance priorities
• Proven solid planning skills including experience in successfully leading major projects and programs with use of and adherence to structured methodologies
• Proven high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management
• Proven excellent critical thinking skills, analytical ability, and problem analysis techniques
• Proven adaptability; self-starter; team player; quality minded; focused; committed; able to work independently
• Proven solid leadership presence and ability to work with a cross functional agile delivery team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile methodology and delivery experience
• Infrastructure technology experience such as server, network, security and data center infrastructure, for application, middleware, database and web environments
• UnitedHealth Group or subsidiary work experience
• Healthcare technology background
• Experience using productivity tools including Rally, Smartsheets and ServiceNow
• Professional Services, consulting, or Project management experience
