In this role, you will:

• Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
• Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
• Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
• Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
• Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture principles including 12-factor app design, microservices, API-first architecture, event-driven architecture, and data mesh concepts.
• Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevSecOps principles.
• Proficiency with modeling tools and standards (e.g., UML, C4, ArchiMate, BPMN).
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, including how AI can be embedded into architecture patterns (e.g., model ops, AI observability, or augmented decisioning).
• Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in TOGAF, AWS/GCP Architecture, or SAFe Agile Architecture.
• Experience in Open Banking, ISO 20022, or embedded finance platforms.
• Background in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance for banking (e.g., PCI-DSS, FFIEC, RBI, GDPR).
• Proven experience designing systems at scale in the Consumer or Retail Banking domain.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when influencing senior business and technology leaders.

Job Expectations:

• Define and maintain domain-driven architectural blueprints that align with enterprise strategy and industry trends.
• Lead design and review of end-to-end system architectures across front-end, middleware, backend, and integration layers.
• Guide solution architecture for major programs and initiatives ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, and data teams to drive architectural governance, reusable patterns, and platform maturity.
• Use enterprise architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA, MEGA, Bizzdesign) to document current-state, target-state, and transition architectures.
• Leverage AI technologies to inform architectural decisions (e.g., intelligent decisioning, personalized banking, anomaly detection).
• Mentor architects and engineering leads across squads and programs.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies that align with Consumer Banking objectives.
