Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
Tenstorrent is seeking a Staff/Sr. Staff Engineer to build AI copilots and automation tools for CPU/SoC design and verification workflows. This role focuses on delivering production tools with measurable adoption—you'll implement methodologies, collaborate with EDA vendors, and advance verification infrastructure to enable AI-assisted design at scale.
This role is remote, based out of the United States.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.
Who You Are
- A verification engineer with 5+ years in CPU/SoC verification including UVM, formal methods, coverage closure, coherency, and power/reset verification.
 - Experienced building AI/ML tools or automation infrastructure that engineers use in production, with hands-on expertise in Python, ML frameworks, and LLM API integration.
 - Skilled in verification infrastructure and automation with a demonstrated track record of improving team efficiency through tooling and methodology improvements.
 - A collaborative engineer who can work across teams to drive adoption of new tools and methodologies with measurable impact.

What We Need
- Build and deploy AI copilots for verification workflows including testplan generation, bug triage, formal property development, and debug automation.
 - Collaborate with Synopsys, Cadence, and EDA vendors to evaluate and integrate AI-EDA platforms into production verification flows.
 - Implement KPI tracking and reporting (engagement metrics, accept rates, efficiency gains) to measure tool adoption and quantify impact.
 - Advance verification infrastructure through coverage-driven methodologies, automation frameworks, and machine-readable specification tooling.

What You Will Learn
- Drive AI-assisted verification in production CPU/SoC environments with real-world impact at scale.
 - Gain exposure to next-generation AI-EDA platforms and collaborate directly with industry-leading tool vendors.
 - Balance tactical verification execution with strategic methodology development and infrastructure innovation.
 - Contribute to redefining CPU design and verification practices with AI as a core enabler of engineering productivity.
