Role Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineering Associate to join our global network engineering team. This role is built for early-career talent with a strong interest in enterprise networking, infrastructure, and large-scale technology environments. The associate will work alongside senior engineers to support, operate, and improve campus, datacenter, and WAN network environments. They will build hands-on experience with enterprise-grade technologies and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operation of enterprise network infrastructure, including campus LAN, WAN, and connectivity
Assist with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution under mentorship from senior engineers
Participate in network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities following defined change-management processes
Help document network builds, configurations, and operational procedures to support audit and compliance requirements
Work with internal partners (e.g., security, workplace technology, cloud teams) to resolve connectivity or performance issues
Assist in analyzing network performance data and finding opportunities for stability, automation, and improvement
Follow established security, risk, and operational controls while accomplishing assigned tasks
Participate in on-call or follow-the-sun support rotations as part of a distributed team (after onboarding)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering field
Strong foundational understanding of networking concepts, including:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
LAN/WAN fundamentals
Routing and switching basics
Familiarity with at least one networking area: Campus networking/Data center networking and Network security fundamentals
Knowledge of SNMP concepts (polling vs traps; SNMPv2 vs SNMPv3 basics) & Syslog fundamentals (sources, severity levels, forwarding concepts)
Network monitoring/observability fundamentals (alerts, dashboards, correlation, noise reduction)
Ticketing/operations platforms for incident workflows (e.g., ServiceNow ITOM/Event Management concepts)
Network controller/management platforms exposure (e.g., Cisco Catalyst Center/DNAC concepts)
Exposure to Wi-Fi build and operations in high-density environments
Basic understanding of ITIL or operational support concepts (incidents, changes, problem management)
Ability to troubleshoot issues using a structured, logical approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a global, collaborative environment
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Exposure to enterprise networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Arista, or equivalent)
Basic scripting or automation exposure (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar)
Awareness of network security principles (firewalls, segmentation, access control)
Internship, academic project, or lab experience related to networking or infrastructure
Industry certifications (or coursework toward): CCNA or CCNP (or equivalent foundational certification)
