As Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. How you’ll make an impact
- The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer up to 60 MVA 161 kV Class design covering different countries.
- Responsible to generate Tank & Externals meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE standards.
- Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etc & submission to customer as per project schedule.
- Understanding of Transformer mechanical design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
- Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
- Participation in internal design concept reviews.
- Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
- Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background
- Candidate should have a degree in B.E / B. Tech Mechanical Engineering.
- 4-8 Years Experience working in Mechanical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
- Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must. Creo is considered as an advantage.
- Should understand Transformer Design, Mechanical Calculations, Dielectrics, clearance/creepage, basic layout and cleats lead arrangement.
- Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards
- Experience in winding design is an advantage
- Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
- Experience on Microsoft office and tools.
- Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
- Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
