What You Will Do – Key Responsibilities (Central America Region)
Procurement
Design and execute procurement strategies aligned with regional and organizational goals.
Manage end-to-end procurement activities: sourcing, contracting, purchasing, and issuing POs in coordination with Finance and Project teams.
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and resolve process inefficiencies.
Prepare and review RFQs for accredited vendors, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders updated.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery timelines to maximize value.
Ensure timely collection and internal presentation of vendor quotations.
Identify and mitigate procurement risks, updating assessments to reflect evolving regional challenges.
Collaborate with Legal to ensure contracts include clear and enforceable terms.
Expand and diversify the supplier base, applying dual sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and ensure supply continuity.
Continuously refine sourcing strategies to respond to market dynamics in Guatemala and neighboring countries.
Lead and mentor procurement staff, support training initiatives, and advise leadership on complex vendor matters.
Vendor Management
Oversee vendor accreditation processes, including due diligence, qualification, and compliance with company standards.
Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure alignment with financial and tracking systems.
Conduct market research to identify new vendors and cost-saving opportunities across Central America.
Coordinate MSA execution with Legal and vendors, including negotiation scheduling and contract finalization.
Address insurance matters in collaboration with SBA and local brokers.
Monitor vendor performance through regular reviews and implement corrective actions when needed.
Manage vendor engagement workflows, including contract expirations and renewals.
Ensure adherence to risk management, compliance, and performance governance protocols.
Collaborate with Operations to maintain continuity of support and maintenance contracts.
Logistics
Secure import licenses in coordination with senior management, Legal, and Finance.
Track manufacturing and delivery schedules, proactively communicating delays.
Work with customs brokers to expedite shipment clearance.
Organize delivery of goods to warehouses and job sites, including towers, tools, and accessories.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, and hire high-performing team members.
Provide guidance and oversight in line with company policies and procedures.
Coach and mentor team members, support onboarding, and facilitate career development.
Empower team members to take ownership of their roles and goals, offering regular feedback.
Foster a culture of engagement aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Apply performance management practices to support goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
Lead the team to meet productivity, quality, and performance expectations.
What You’ll Need – Education & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics management.
Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus for regional coordination).
Experience in vendor qualification and compliance.
Strong negotiation skills in commodities trading.
Knowledge of country-specific import regulations in Central America.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Valid government-issued driver’s license.
