Job DescriptionJob Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manager - MEP to lead the planning, design coordination, execution, testing, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across construction and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and stakeholder management skills to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost optimization of all MEP works.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage end-to-end execution of MEP activities across multiple projects.
- Review MEP designs, drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Develop project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
- Ensure MEP installations are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
Design & Technical Management
- Review and validate HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, ELV, Plumbing, and Drainage system designs.
- Conduct value engineering studies to optimize project costs and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, statutory regulations, and international standards.
- Provide technical leadership on engineering challenges and system integration.
Cost & Contract Management
- Review BOQs, estimates, and vendor quotations.
- Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Support procurement activities, including vendor selection and technical evaluation.
- Manage variation orders, claims, and commercial aspects related to MEP works.
Quality & Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with project quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to specifications.
- Promote and enforce safety standards during project execution.
- Collaborate with HSE teams to ensure safe working practices across all MEP activities.
Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
- Ensure all systems are functioning as per design and operational requirements.
- Coordinate preparation of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and project closeout documentation.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor MEP engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical excellence within the MEP function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in MEP project management within construction, real estate, data centers, commercial buildings, hospitals, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale MEP installations and multidisciplinary teams.
