As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Defines and drives adoption of a best in class monitoring frameworks to accomplish end to end application or service monitoring and noiseless alerting end application or service monitoring and noiseless alerting with proper telemetry
- Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectives
- Leads and drives Public Cloud Journey and best practices in collaboration with Application Development teams
- Deploys sustainable & resilient software, system and product upgrades
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems to ensure permanent closure of incidentsand supports solutions for closure
- Engage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
- Lead and participate in performance tests, identifies the bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization and capacity demand
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering softwarewith one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., bash, PowerShell, Oracle PL/SQL) to automate tasks and manipulate data
- Experience with resolving application function and system customer support issues
- Experience with Agile and full software development life cycle disciplines
- Designs and contributes to performance monitoring and capacity management tools( Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk)
- Able to work on multiple large projects that have business impact and to be self-initiated. Should be able to provide supporting data or communicate business value of the projects.
- Leadership and team management experience. Setting up direction, vision, clear communication and mentorship for the team.
- Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
- Working knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks)
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
