Java PySpark Engineering Lead- SVP

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineering Development Lead to oversee and drive the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. The role involves leading a team of developers, designing RPA architecture, and ensuring successful delivery of automation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in RPA tools, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to guide a team toward achieving business objectives and use RPA technology to reduce manual processes, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Lead will play a pivotal role in the transformation of the Bot Automated Platform to eliminate human error and reduce business expenses. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the process automation framework and provide guidance and oversight to the automation strategy. The candidate needs experience in process automation and an innovative thinker is needed to determine proper approach for implementation and ability to own and execute strategy.  There is also a need for collaboration to help drive success for business partners and the technology function.  To support the transformation of process automation, this role requires someone who can drive change and who understands the impacts RPA has within the technology function.    

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have sufficient experience in building innovative RPA services for a large global userbase. The successful candidate will champion the business needs from a user experience perspective and ensure the right RPA implementation is in place.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of RPA developers to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines and standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

Technical Expertise & Solution Design

• Design and implement innovative scalable, efficient, and maintainable RPA solutions using various RPA tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and design workflows.
• Develop and enforce RPA best practices, including coding standards, testing protocols, and documentation guidelines.

Project Execution

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of RPA projects, from requirement gathering and process analysis to deployment and support.
• Conduct feasibility assessments and prioritize processes for automation.
• Ensure proper integration of RPA solutions with existing systems and technologies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to align automation goals with organizational objectives.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders and leadership.

Quality Assurance & Optimization

• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality delivery of automation workflows.
• Monitor and optimize deployed bots for performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in RPA and related technologies.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools or techniques to improve automation processes.

Qualifications:

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities with Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of RPA architecture and solution design.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, PySpark, Java, and other programing.
• Strong experience with process analysis, workflow design, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, SQL databases, and systems integration.
• Strong experience in designing automated testing framework.
• Strong experience in Software Development in Test Engineering (SDET) and hands-on development experience
• Strong experience in Strong experience in Enterprise level of Test Harness Development
• Experience in managing software engineering teams.
• Experience with CI/CD, Test Driven Development, DevOps, Gitbub, BitBucket, code branching and merging.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in explaining complex technical concepts to senior management.
• Comfortable operating in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
• Financial Service industry experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially master’s degree and managerial experience

• 15+ hands-on programming and scripting skills
• 15+ knowledge in Java, Python and at least one other programming language
• 15+ experience in Java object-oriented design and design pattern
• 10+ experience in domain driven design (DDD)
• 10+ experience in Java DSL /Fluent Interface Implementation
• 10+ experience in data persistence framework
• 10+ experience in data quality functional testing
• 10+ experience in data unit test framework
• 10+ experience in selenium and rest automation
• 10+ experience in microservice and Restful web service testing
