Global Product Solutions (“GPS”) was formed in 2024 with the mission of bringing more opportunity within reach. GPS partners across the firm to lead iShares and drive the business priorities of all our investment businesses. The team innovates on new products and solutions; curates and commercializes our product lineup across client channels; creates exceptional insights so our clients can build the best portfolios; and supports extraordinary careers.
The iShares Team within BlackRock’s Global Product Solutions (GPS) business is responsible for driving ETF adoption, product innovation, and commercialization of the APAC iShares range as well as our global UCITS and 40 Act iShares products. The team is centrally involved in the firm’s thought leadership agenda, product development, and commercialization strategy for iShares APAC business. As part of BlackRock’s Global Product Solutions, critical to the success of the team is the maintenance of strong relationships Portfolio Management teams, as well as the Institutional and Wealth Client Business teams who are responsible for managing and developing BlackRock’s client relationships.
Job Purpose/Background:
The individual in this position will take on the role of product strategist within the iShares Equity Product Strategy team. This group manages a wide range of products—including equity, outcome-based solutions, commodities, and digital assets—with an emphasis on advancing, growing, and developing the Firm’s iShares business across APAC. The selected candidate will play an important part in supporting the strategic expansion of iShares within the APAC region.
Key responsibilities:
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day client requests and product analytics.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the iShares equity platform.
Address client inquiries regarding iShares equity strategies, including performance attribution, competitor benchmarking, product due diligence, fund characteristics, cost analysis, and both ad-hoc and recurring reporting
Develop and maintain both standardized and tailored product strategy materials with clear messaging and strategic positioning
Support senior equity product strategists by providing analysis and insights for client engagement initiatives
Automate and enhance existing workflows related to data analytics and collateral development
Centralize the extraction and storage of data from various sources and teams to improve efficiency
Serve as power users and deliver ongoing training sessions for new team members on tools and data modules
Skills/Qualifications:
At least 4 years of relevant experience in financial services
Strong attention to detail and interest in equity, commodity and crypto markets
Analytical and data-driven mindset, with exceptional critical thinking skills
Self-starter who can work effectively on their own as well as with a team, while being resourceful and able to work with other groups to obtain the information necessary to complete tasks
Able to multi-task efficiently in a busy and varied environment
Proactive, problem-solving attitude supported by the ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems
Experience in Bloomberg, Morningstar etc
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI
