Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
Flywire is seeking an experienced and strategic Internal Audit Manager to lead Flywire’s SOX testing program in India, encompassing both IT and Business Process controls, while partnering closely with the Global Internal Audit leadership team.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of SOX execution, people leadership, and program evolution. You will serve as a key assurance provider to senior leadership and the Board’s Audit Committee, ensuring Flywire maintains a robust, scalable, and future-ready internal control environment.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a SOX professional who combines technical depth, people leadership, and strategic vision in a fast-growing, cloud-first fintech organization.
YOUR STRATEGIC IMPERATIVES
🔥 SOX Program Leader
Lead, plan, and manage Flywire’s end-to-end SOX testing program, including annual planning, risk assessment, external auditor reliance strategy, resource allocation, and budget oversight. Ensure SOX execution aligns with ICFR, COSO, IIA, and COBIT standards while meeting regulatory and audit committee expectations.
🔥 People Leader & Coach
Directly lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior auditors responsible for ITGCs, IT automated/application controls, and business process controls. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration across the SOX team.
🔥 Quality & Assurance Champion
Review and approve audit workpapers, testing results, and remediation plans to ensure high professional standards, consistency, and audit-ready documentation. Provide clear, concise reporting that enables confident reliance by external auditors and senior stakeholders.
🔥 Strategizer
Evaluate SOX risks holistically across systems, processes, and geographies. Identify opportunities to enhance program maturity, scalability, and efficiency as Flywire grows. Contribute to broader internal audit strategy, risk management initiatives, and operational audits beyond SOX.
🔥 Innovator
Drive modernization of the SOX program through the use of data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled audit techniques. Champion continuous improvement by reducing manual effort, increasing insight, and strengthening coverage across IT and business processes.
🔥 Trusted Partner
Partner closely with Finance, Technology, Security, Compliance, and Business leaders globally. Validate control deficiencies, agree remediation plans, track issue closure, and manage change effectively while maintaining Flywire’s strong control culture.
