As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms, Collaboration and Communication team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
- Hands on experience to administer and manage Windows operating systems, including core administration tasks such as troubleshooting, maintenance of DFS servers leveraging
- Mange DFS paths, Smart FTP, Smart Print servers and windows shared/home drives management as part of overall scope of responsibilities.
- Applying knowledge of storage technologies including NAS/SAN , and SQL or other databases.
- Experience with Cloud technologies(AWS/Azure ) is an added value.
- Enhance automation processes using Python or Powershell scripting with 2+ years of infrastructure relevant experience being an advantage.
- Manage incident and change processes, collaborating with peer teams to deliver swift solutions to business challenges.
- Handle complex data center activities, sustain resiliency(SR), disaster recovery(DR) , major data center migration activities using native or third party tools(HST/StorageX).
- Basic understanding of AI, prompt engineering and LLM concepts.
- Utilize DevOps tools such as JIRA Boards, GIT , CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible to streamline development and operational workflows..
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Handle complex data center activities, sustain resiliency(SR), disaster recovery(DR) , major data center migration activities using native or third party tools(HST/StorageX).
- Strong SRE mindset and experience with DevOps tools and automation (Python/ PowerShell) of infrastructure relevant experience being an advantage.
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
- ACL management with local/global/universal Groups understanding.
- Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments.
- Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent understanding of storage technologies, experience on automation(Python/Powershell) and data center operations .
- Configure , setup, and manage smart printers, adding value to the role.
- Experience with Cloud technologies(AWS/Azure ) is an added value.
- Willing to work on weekends and shifts as project demands dictate. Support on-call duties and provide assistance during the major incidents/MEPC events.
