Job DescriptionThe Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Specialist (HRCS) II owns the continuous maintenance, accuracy, and strategic growth of MedTrainer’s compliance content library. The role researches federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare industry related mandates. Updates or retires library materials; and leverages artificial‑intelligence tools to accelerate discovery and curation of relevant compliance resources.
Qualifications- Three to five years’ experience or equivalent in a healthcare or regulatory environment with demonstrated effectiveness in organizing and coordinating a detailed portfolio of accurate, time‑sensitive activities.
- Experience with a healthcare compliance or privacy program, or other industry compliance program.
- Familiarity with AI‑driven compliance, analytics, and content‑generation platforms, including an understanding of the ethical and regulatory considerations associated with AI use in healthcare.
- Hands‑on experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine‑learning tools—such as large language models (LLMs), natural‑language processing (NLP), or predictive analytics—to streamline regulatory research, content development, or compliance monitoring
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Advanced Degree - preferred.
- Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) certification or training - preferred.
- Licensed Healthcare Professional – preferred.
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance - preferred.
Healthcare Regulatory & Technology Knowledge
- General knowledge of the U.S. health‑care system including, but not limited to: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions for Participation and other federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Understands the role and responsibilities of accreditation organization standards (Joint Commission, AAAHC, AAASF, UCA, CARF, and others) and their correlation to federal and state regulations.
- Basic understanding of regulatory and operating requirements for various healthcare settings such as long‑term care, assisted living, ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, community health centers, and other medical specialties.
- Experience creating and maintaining metadata/taxonomy best practices throughout compliance document lifecycle.
Job Duties
- Conducts continuous environmental scanning of federal and state regulatory bodies, accrediting organizations, and payer bulletins to identify changes impacting MedTrainer’s compliance content library through automation.
- Evaluates, curates, and updates library policies, procedures, checklists, and forms; retires obsolete content in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with subject‑matter experts (internal and external) to validate and finalize updates.
- Performs systematic, quarterly audits of the compliance library to verify regulatory citations, document version control, and metadata accuracy.
- Utilizes AI and automation tools to accelerate regulatory intelligence gathering, generate draft content, and create impact summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Maintains a robust taxonomy and tagging structure to ensure efficient search and retrieval of compliance resources.
- Collaborates with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to surface regulatory content needs and to ensure library assets are available in a timely manner to address customer compliance resource needs.
- Tracks and reports key performance indicators (e.g., update cycle time, content utilization) to the Director of Compliance.
