Position Summary 

The Global Supply Chain Program Manager reports to the Global Strategic Program Leader ID and will be instrumental in shaping the Supply Chain strategy for the ID business. They will design and develop a clear vision and support it with a roadmap of transformational programs over several years. The Program Manager will be responsible for working globally and locally on the development, design and implementation of End-to-End business processes to drive standardization and optimization of processes and procedures while fulfilling our customer requirements. As the link for projects and improvement initiatives across ID, this role requires strong relationship building and stakeholder management capabilities to drive collaboration and sustainable change. This role is ideally suited to a manager that has combined Supply Chain, operational and technical expertise in a global domain.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, develop and deploy End-to-End Supply Chain Processes to support the evolving customer and business requirements.
  • Benchmark proposed design and development both internally and external to Abbott to ensure we have the optimum Supply Chain solution to strategic business requirements.
  • Liaise with business leaders and subject matter experts to develop a clear understanding of the current state operation and critical business requirements so that a clear transformational map can be developed.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional team members in achieving project milestones/timelines as well as successful deployment, training, and change management.
  • Align with Global Process owners on KPIs and Metrics to track benefits of improvement implementations, as well as to monitor / control the sustainment of completed improvements.
  • Collaborate with the ID functional areas like Commercial, Operations, Quality, Regulatory as well as ARDx divisional functions like GBS and Logistics to ensure projects are prioritized and executed effectively.
  • Responsible for compliance with Corporate and Division policies and procedures.

Key Position Competencies and Behaviours 

  • In depth knowledge of the deployment of SAP P01 and other ERP systems within the Supply Chain environment.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in process development, improvement and transformation.
  • Demonstrated capability in Organisational Change Management.
  • Excellent communication skills to support program management requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a diverse cultural environment.
  • At least 5 years Global leadership experience in Supply Chain, an Operations function or Program Management office.
  • In addition, excellent use of virtual communication technology is required for effective workshop leadership and change management.
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Management Information Systems or related fields required, Master’s Degree is preferable.
  • Lean six sigma certification is preferable.
  • 10+ years of Industrial experience, 3-5 years of relevant experience in areas of business process review, measurement, and improvement. 
  • Experience and track record of project management and leading successful continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience on continuous improvement approaches with a strong understanding of Process review and measurement methodologies (e.g. six sigma, lean six sigma, lean manufacturing, business process management).
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Experience in process mapping, process review and measurement methodologies.
  • Experience with customer service, fulfilment and/or accounts receivable processes.
