Job Summary
As a Team Leader in GRIT - Fund Services | Reconciliation Team, you will be responsible for managing the Income related breaks, investigation & validation of Paydown, Interest & Dividend breaks on Reconciliation. You will ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and signed off, including client service enquiry resolution, cash and stock break management. You will also promote a culture of early and timely escalation, ensure root cause analysis undertaken for all operational incidents and follow through with all recommendations. This role provides an opportunity to work with Product Development, MBS & ABS products, FX and requires a high level of integrity and effective communication skills.
BAU Management
- The incumbent shall be responsible for managing the Income related breaks
- Responsible for investigation & validation of Paydown, Interest & Dividend breaks on Reconciliation (FA v/s Custody)
- Responsible for processing & validation of Income adjustment.
- Ensure all daily controls and processing are completed and signed off including client service enquiry resolution, cash and stock break as all key metrics are produced as required

- Ensure all key metrics are produced as required in given timelines
- Own issues related to the Income Team and ensure timely escalation to both Operational and Risk leads
- Continued review of content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with introduction of new policies and ongoing risk management activities
- Assist managers in daily governance & supervisory control implementation.
Further Function Specific Requirements
Promote culture of early and timely escalation, ensure root cause analysis undertaken for all operational incidents and follow through with all recommendations. Actively manage risk items and continually evidence compliance with key controls.
- Ensure all errors and incidents are written up in a timely manner in keeping with internal policy
- Organize morning risk review meeting and oversight intraday and end of day key sign off points
- Ensure all client queries dealt with within required SLAs
- Ensure timeliness against governance calls, sign offs and files for quality control
- Work with Product Development, MBS & ABS products, FX
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Candidates should have a B.Com, CA, or MBA with 4-6 years of experience in fund service reconciliation, asset servicing, or the investment banking sector.
- They must possess strong knowledge of financial instruments and fund accounting terminology.
- Excellent investigative skills and a strong desire to resolve queries are essential.
- The ability to meet tight deadlines and work efficiently under pressure is crucial.
- Being a supportive team player with a high attention to detail is important.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
- Expertise in operations, particularly in reconciliation and investment banking products like MBS, ABS, and dividends, is critical, with a background in reconciliation being highly advantageous. Experience in client service within financial services is beneficial, and candidates should demonstrate drive, energy, enthusiasm, and integrity.
