We’re seeking a Head of Corporate Finance - India to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods. Schrödinger is a science and technology leader with over 35 years of experience providing solutions for atomic-scale modeling and physics-based chemical simulations.
You’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing the corporate finance function in the India subsidiary of a US company. You will be a member of the subsidiary’s Board of Directors and Operating Committee. Operating Committee members oversee a local workforce consisting of approximately 165 world-class technology developers, computational scientists, and business and compliance professionals. This position will report to executive leadership within the US parent company’s Finance team.

What you’ll do:
- Oversee and ensure regulatory compliance with local and international laws (e.g., tax, financial, legal, and human resources regulations)
- Manage the subsidiary’s Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and Office Management teams in partnership with functional global leaders
- Collaborate with subsidiary’s top leadership on the Operating Committee to establish and enforce policies and guide the business of the India subsidiary
- Sit on the subsidiary's board of directors and be responsible for Board compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Report on financial and operational performance and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with the subsidiary’s Operating Committee and our US executive team on the execution of multi-year strategy for corporate growth, financial reporting, projections, and analyses
- Advise our executive team on areas of risk and champion risk mitigation
- Coordinate statutory audits with the subsidiary’s third party audit/tax firm
What you’ll need:
- At least twelve years of relevant corporate finance experience, and at least three years of experience in recognized global accounting firms
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to operating a business in India
- Permanent residency in India
- MBA preferred, but not required
- Experience in the technology industry preferred (experience in life sciences industry is a plus)
- Demonstrated success developing and executing goals and meeting objectives in alignment with Headquarters
- Experience working closely with IT and Sales is a plus
