As a Technical Manager within the Online Build Team, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade modernization programs, transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native microservices architectures. You will provide strategic and technical leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, architectural standards, and delivery timelines. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of TransUnion’s online platforms and driving innovation at scale.

• Deep proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance Online APIs using microservices architecture.
• Known for a “get-things-done” mindset—able to break down complex problems, align teams, and deliver high-quality solutions on time, even in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.

 

How You Will Contribute:

• Lead strategic modernization efforts, transitioning legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native microservices.
• Collaborate with global teams to define and execute the Online Cloud roadmap, ensuring architectural consistency and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight across multiple agile teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality, business-critical solutions.
• Champion engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps principles.
• Drive talent development, performance management, and team capacity planning.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Leads by example, fostering a culture of continuous learning, code quality, and cross-functional collaboration. Experienced in guiding junior engineers and aligning technical direction with business goals.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in leading cloud migration and modernization programs.
• Expertise in Java, GCP, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
