What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Plan and coordinate site energy assessments on a scheduled basis to identify opportunities for energy conservation and efficiency improvements.
- Lead the identification, planning, and execution of energy projects that support both site-level and broader sustainability objectives, ensuring all initiatives are integrated with the overall energy strategy. Take responsibility for accurately uploading and consistently tracking project details using Enablon, the designated environmental and energy data management platform.
- Monitor and evaluate the site's energy performance as well as progress towards Net Zero targets, benchmarking outcomes against established objectives. Strive for ongoing enhancement by seeking ways to exceed current standards and further minimize environmental impact.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with applicable energy-related regulations, conducting periodic reviews to ensure legal adherence and keeping all necessary documentation current.
- Effectively communicate energy management objectives, progress, and achievements to both site personnel and senior management, actively promoting a culture of energy consciousness throughout the organization.
- Work with Site Engineering Team to ensure the effective implementation of the site's energy management program, including organizing and facilitating monthly team meetings to monitor progress and set actionable goals.
- Champion the advancement of high standards and continuous improvement by promoting and integrating innovative operational practices that surpass statutory requirements. Inspire site teams to pursue excellence in energy performance through creative initiatives and industry best practices, thereby aiding the organization's sustainability objectives.
- Act as the central point of contact for the dissemination of energy management strategies, objectives, and progress updates at all organizational levels. Ensure regular, transparent communication with both on-site personnel and senior management, fostering a culture of energy awareness and collective celebration of achievements.
- Take a proactive role in participating in voluntary national energy programs and lead the assessment and implementation of relevant energy conservation incentive schemes to benefit the site.
- Promote the adoption of advanced standards and operational methods that exceed baseline legal requirements, continually supporting the enhancement of energy performance and encouraging a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Monitor and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the site's energy budget, including both costs and consumption volumes. Provide regular tracking and reporting on energy usage and associated expenditures to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
- Offer expert consultation to construction or renovation clients and collaborate with engineers on sustainable building initiatives, such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Green Building standards.

- Must hold a recognized Energy Manager certification.
- Qualification: Diploma or B. Tech in Mechanical, Electronics or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Diploma with 10-12 years industrial experience or B. Tech with 7-8 years industrial experience.
- Technical Expertise in Energy Management: The ability to conduct site energy assessments, interpret data, and identify opportunities for conservation and efficiency improvements.
- Project Planning and Execution: Skills in leading and coordinating energy projects, ensuring alignment with sustainability objectives and overall energy strategy.
- Data Management and Analytical Skills: Competency in using platforms like Enablon for accurate tracking, uploading, and analysis of environmental and energy data.
- Performance Monitoring and Benchmarking: Proficiency in evaluating energy performance, setting targets, and benchmarking against objectives to drive continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Up-to-date knowledge of relevant energy regulations and the ability to ensure ongoing compliance through documentation and periodic reviews.
- Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to convey energy objectives and achievements to diverse stakeholders and promote a culture of energy consciousness.
