Lead the Quality Assurance team to ensure high-quality testing of trading system tools. Innovate QA processes, mentor engineers, and manage test automation.
We are looking for a Software Test lead for our Quality Assurance team. The team is responsible for ensuring the quality of critical qualitative trading system tools and related components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop end-to-end functional and integration test scenarios to validate business functionality and system requirements
- Provide technical leadership in test plan creation, test case development, and execution for complex distributed systems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality metrics for release measurement
- Innovate and optimize QA processes by introducing new tools, methodologies, and automation frameworks
- Actively participate in all release cycles including scope planning, test effort estimation, execution, and release sign-off
- Drive productivity through robust test automation strategies and tools
- Mentor and manage a team of QA engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- A solid educational background from IIT/IIIT/NIT, preferably with a degree in Computer Science, a GPA of 8.0 or above, and at least 8 years of experience in testing web applications and web services
- Prior experience working in a tech/product-based company
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage QA teams of 10 or more engineers
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, test planning, and team leadership skills
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, etc.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, .NET, or C++) and familiarity with UNIX environments; scripting skills in Python or Perl are a plus
- Experience testing client-server and distributed systems is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the financial domain or prior experience testing applications in this domain is an added advantage
