The Director, Analytics Platform will build and lead a centralized analytics platform capability within the Fan Experience Analytics team. This role is designed to create scalable data assets, standardized insight layers, and cross-domain decision frameworks across product and content, while acting as a force multiplier for embedded analytics teams.
You will lead intake, prioritization, roadmap definition, platform adoption, and team development for a Hyderabad-based team that is expected to standardize reusable analytics assets across the organization.
What you’ll do- Define and lead the roadmap for a centralized analytics platform that emphasizes reusable datasets, models, semantic assets, and frameworks over one-off analysis.
- Own intake governance and prioritization, ensuring work is scoped upfront, aligned to core platform products, serves repeatable use cases, and can be executed with clear inputs and limited iteration.
- Drive adoption and standardization across product and content analytics, including documentation, data contracts, downstream enablement, and migration support where needed.
- Establish strong operating partnerships with Data Engineering and adjacent analytics teams so the platform has clear upstream contracts and reliable downstream consumption patterns.
- Hire, develop, and lead a small but high-leverage team in Hyderabad, setting a high bar for analytical rigor, documentation, governance, and scalable execution.
- Embed AI and automation into the platform strategy from the outset, using charter-aligned examples such as segmentation models, anomaly detection, and automated insight generation where they improve scale and consistency.
Success in this role means shifting more new analytics work onto centralized assets, increasing standardization in experimentation readouts, reducing duplicate datasets and metric definitions, and improving cycle time and leverage across the analytics ecosystem.
About you- 12+ years of overall analytics experience, with at least 5+ years of experience managing teams.
- You are an experienced analytics leader who can turn an ambiguous mandate into a clear platform strategy, operating model, and sequenced roadmap.
- You have deep experience building reusable analytics products or semantic and data platforms rather than relying on ad hoc analysis as the primary mode of execution.
- You know how to balance governance with adoption, and you can raise standards without creating unnecessary friction for downstream teams.
- You are comfortable leading cross-functional work across analytics, product, content, and data engineering, and you can translate technical tradeoffs into clear decisions.
- You bring strong technical fluency in modern analytics environments, including SQL and scalable analytical tooling, and you are comfortable discussing data models, metric definitions, and platform design.
- You are energized by building teams, creating operating rigor, and coaching analysts or data specialists to produce durable, high-trust assets.
- You are practical about scope and understand how to say no to work that is unscoped, overly bespoke, or misaligned to platform goals, while still being a strong partner to the business.
- Experience leading centralized analytics, data product, or semantic layer initiatives in a consumer product, media, entertainment, or subscription business
- Familiarity with experimentation ecosystems, governed metric layers, and platform adoption or change-management work
- Experience building in global environments with distributed stakeholders and offshore or regional teams
- Exposure to AI or automation use cases in analytics workflows
You will join the Fan Experience Analytics team and lead a centralized platform capability intended to serve internal analytics teams across product and content. The team’s mandate is to create the reusable foundations, standards, and frameworks that make analytics faster, more consistent, and more scalable across Crunchyroll.
