This is a role within a collaborative team of developers and architects, contributing to a platform that integrates across multiple Nokia IT systems and supports project governance at scale.
The successful candidate will bring strong solution architecture skills, hands-on experience with project management tooling, and a solid understanding of project management processes — particularly in the context of services delivery. Working closely with the rest of the PMAT (Project Management & Analytics Tool) team, they will help shape the platform’s technical direction while contributing to its day-to-day development and improvement.
ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture & Platform Development
- Contribute to ongoing development of PMAT, collaborating with fellow architects and developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions across the data, application, and integration layers of the platform
Ensure the platform’s technical quality, including maintainability, performance, and security, as part of a shared team responsibility
Data Model & Systems Integration
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of the core data model underpinning PMAT, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all connected Nokia IT systems
- Work with the team to develop and maintain integrations between PMAT and other Nokia IT platforms, including ERP, ITSM, finance, and HR systems
Support the alignment of PMAT’s data model with Nokia IT’s broader enterprise data standards and governance requirements
Agile Delivery & Azure DevOps
- Work within an agile delivery framework, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management using Azure DevOps
Support release planning and deployment coordination for PMAT, ensuring smooth and predictable delivery cycles
Project Management Process Knowledge
- Understand services delivery project management processes — including project initiation, resource planning, budget tracking, risk management, and delivery governance — and translate these into platform requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMAT based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business processes
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with internal Nokia IT stakeholders including the Product Owner, project managers, and platform teams to understand needs and communicate technical solutions clearly
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in IT solution development, enterprise software engineering, or a senior technical role with broad system design and development responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow PPM, Microsoft Project, Planview, or similar enterprise PM platforms)
- Proven experience contributing to the design and maintenance of complex data models in multi-system enterprise integration environments
- Strong knowledge of systems integration patterns and API design
- Experience working in agile delivery environments, with working knowledge of Azure DevOps for sprint and release management
- Experience working within a large multinational IT organisation, ideally in a telecommunications or technology company context
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and their integration with project management tooling
- Knowledge or practical experience with AI/ML concepts would be advantageous, as the team explores future enhancements to PMAT
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, TOGAF, or cloud platform certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) are a plus
