We are looking for a Descriptive Analytics Consultant to join our Reporting & Analytics team in Athens.
- The team is responsible for designing and delivering a comprehensive range of services that support the data analytics workflow across multiple domains, including credit, real estate, the fintech industry, and other business areas. Our goal is to provide actionable, automated analytics solutions that are seamlessly integrated into daily operations.
- A Day in the Life of a Descriptive Analytics Consultant at Qualco includes to:
- Engage with the reporting and analytics teams of internal and external clients on a regular basis to monitor the use of the descriptive analytics capabilities of Qualco products, communicate new features and identify opportunities for further adoption;
- Engage with the business stakeholders of internal and external clients on a regular basis, to record stated reporting and descriptive analytics requirements, identify the underlying business need, translate to technical specifications and suggest Qualco product-based facilities or services to meet the needs. Review technical specifications with clients and elaborate them to the point of signoff and implementation handover;
- Produce reporting and descriptive analytics deliverables through a combination of Qualco product configuration facilities and suitable data visualisation front ends.;
- Monitor delivery of technical specifications in line with reporting and descriptive analytics deliverables and identify areas for improvement and optimisation along the project implementation;
- Advise technical team members on the implementation of specifications whose scope exceeds current facilities;
- Follow established, product-based best practices, but also identify gaps in these practices and play a key role in their evolution;
- Design Data Model according to business analysis, Integrate, transform, and consolidate data from various structured and unstructured data systems in order to make them available for reporting/analytics solutions;
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
- University degree plus at least two years’ experience in an analytics or technical consulting role;
- Excellent grasp of day-to-day credit portfolio management processes, in the context of banking, collections or debt servicing operations;
- Familiarity with the processes to which our product contributes is an absolute prerequisite, as is a willingness to challenge the established state of the art in this area in a respectful and consistent way;
- Familiarity with relational and/or multidimensional database concepts and their interactive use through standard reporting front ends (e.g. MS Excel pivot tables);
- Knowledge of SQL is not a prerequisite, but will be appreciated;
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, as a tool for report prototyping and data exploration;
- Knowledge of other data presentation front ends (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is desirable but not indispensable;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and cooperation skills in Greek and English;
- Being able to gain the client’s trust through your presence, your ability to identify and articulate their needs, and the consistency and clarity of your writing is a key aspect of this role, as is acting as a champion for both the product and the client.
What is considered a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting, including experience with compliance data submissions and understanding of key financial regulations and reporting standards;
- Experience in credit portfolio management operations support, ideally (but not necessarily) using the Qualco Collections and Recoveries (QCR) platform.
