Job Description
As a Data Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase, you will be a key member of the Analytics Engineering & Enablement Team, tasked with advancing our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. Your role involves enhancing, designing, and delivering robust data solutions that ensure secure, stable, and scalable data operations. You will develop, test, and maintain critical data pipelines and architectures, supporting various technical domains across multiple business functions to align with the firm's strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enhance data protection controls to ensure the security and integrity of enterprise data.
- Customize and configure tools to meet specific business or customer requirements, while providing guidance to peers on similar tasks.
- Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases with minimal supervision
- Utilize SQL extensively and maintain proficiency in NoSQL databases, understanding their unique roles within the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of data, from collection and storage to analysis.
- Advanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
- Understanding of NoSQL databases and their applications.
- Demonstrated ability in statistical data analysis, selecting appropriate tools and identifying relevant data patterns for comprehensive analysis.
- Experience implementing custom changes in tools to produce tailored data products.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS and Snowflake.
- Extensive knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle and MSSQL.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database concepts.
- Experience with version control systems and tools, including Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with ETL tools, including Spark and Databricks
- Knowledge of Data Mesh, data modeling, and domain-driven design.
