The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work with a modern data stack to integrate data from various enterprise systems, empowering our business with timely and accurate insights. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert in data integration, a master of SQL, and has extensive experience connecting with complex ERP and SaaS applications.

Design & Develop Data Pipelines: Architect, build, and optimize data pipelines using tools like Fivetran, Informatica, and/or AWS Glue to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into our Snowflake data warehouse.
Data Integration: Develop and manage integrations with critical enterprise applications, including ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, MS Dynamics, BPCS) and other platforms like Salesforce, Workday, and Concur.
Data Modeling & Warehousing: Design and implement effective data models within our data warehouse to support analytics, business intelligence, and reporting needs. Ensure data is organized, stored efficiently, and optimized for query performance.
Automation & Scripting: Automate data processes, enhance data quality checks, and build custom data solutions where off-the-shelf tools are insufficient.
SQL Mastery: Write complex, highly performant SQL queries for data transformation, analysis, and validation. Troubleshoot and optimize existing data workflows.
Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business decisions.
Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices in data engineering, code quality, and data governance.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
6+ years experience of strong experience with SQL
6+ years hands-on experience with data modeling design and implementation
2+ years experience with Informatica IICS or Fivetran
2+ years experience working directly with subject matter experts in both business and technology domains
2+ years experience with ERP data - preferably SAP S4, MS Dynamics and or BPCS
1+ year hands-on experience with Salesforce, Workday, Concur or any other Enterprise application
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Snowflake is strongly preferred
Experience with Machine Learning tools and processes
Hands-on experience with Python
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
