Summary:
As a Functional Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of business applications and system enhancements within the SAP Utilities Billing landscape. Your typical day will involve analyzing business requirements, designing test scenarios, executing functional and integration testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business and quality standards. You will play a key role in delivering reliable and efficient software solutions that support organizational objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP Utilities Billing testing.
Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and developers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Lead and manage testing activities across multiple projects and releases.
Responsible for test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and test reporting.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key quality assurance decisions.
Identify, analyze, and resolve functional issues, ensuring timely defect closure.
Validate system integrations and end-to-end business processes.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team testing capabilities.
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on testing best practices.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure business requirements are met.
Professional & Technical Skills
Must Have Skills:
Proficiency in SAP Utilities Billing.
Strong experience in Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT Support.
Expertise in test case creation, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Experience with defect management and test management tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
Good to Have Skills:
Knowledge of SAP IS-U business processes and integrations.
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
Exposure to performance and regression testing practices.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Utilities Billing Functional Testing.
This position is based at our Pune office.
A 15 years full-time education is required.
