Job Description- Responsible for the cost and contract management of hybrid solar farm/renewable energy projects.
- Develop project budgets, analyses submissions of EPCC costs from contractors (to ensure competitive against prevailing market prices), manage costs from initial feasibility to final close-out, perform risk analysis, maintain cost databank for the Company, and negotiate contracts to ensure projects are delivered profitably and on schedule.
- Feasibility & Cost Planning: Develop preliminary budgets, provide inputs for feasibility studies, and prepare detailed cost plans from project inception through design stages.
- Procurement & Tendering: Prepare tender documentation (if necessary), evaluate contractor bids, and assist in negotiating and awarding contracts.
- Cost Control & Monitoring: Maintain vigilant oversight of project expenditures, track cost variances, and conduct value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
- Contract Administration: Manage change orders, review and certify contractor progress payments, and negotiate final accounts.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare regular financial forecasts and formal cost reports for key stakeholders and senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify potential cost risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, commercial management, civil construction management, or a related commercial field shall be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in construction project cost planning and commercial management. Past experience in Renewable Energy industry is an added advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in cost estimating methods, thorough understanding of construction methodologies, and familiarity with contracts (e.g., FIDIC)
