Manages accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Oversees GST, TDS, and income-tax compliance; coordinates audits; analyzes financial performance; supports business decisions; supervises the finance team; and improves accounting processes and documentation.
Purpose of the Role
Accounting & Financial Reporting
The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee the organization's accounting, taxation, financial reporting, audit, and statutory compliance activities. The CA will ensure accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, effective financial controls, and timely reporting to management.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Review journal entries, ledgers, vouchers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare MIS and financial reports for management.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and financial performance.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation of transactions.
- Manage and ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Review GST returns, reconciliations, and related documentation.
- Ensure timely TDS calculations, payments, and returns.
- Handle income-tax computations, returns, notices, and assessments.
- Keep the organization updated on relevant changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and other audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Review audit observations and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Establish and monitor appropriate financial controls.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate controls.
- Provide financial information required for business decisions.
- Assist management with cost control and financial optimization.
- Supervise and guide the accounts and finance team.
- Review accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper financial records and documentation.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
0–5 years of relevant experience, depending on the level of the position.
