Yext is seeking an experienced and business-focused Billing and Revenue Systems Manager to support our core subscription management platforms. Reporting to the Director of Billing and Revenue Systems, this role focuses heavily on functional expertise, business process design, and the optimization of our Order-to-Cash lifecycle. You will serve as a key functional leader for the Zuora Billing platform, translating complex accounting and commercial business cases into scalable system configurations. The ideal candidate blends deep, practical knowledge of SaaS billing workflows with strong stakeholder and project management capabilities to bridge the gap between financial requirements and technical execution.
What You'll Do- Functional Platform Ownership: Serve as a key internal administrator and functional lead for the Zuora Billing and Revenue platform, ensuring high performance, proper customization, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Solution Architecture & Design: Design and architect subscription billing solutions, configuring business rules, advanced workflows, and pricing models within Zuora to meet evolving company requirements.
- Business Requirement Translation: Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Revenue teams to gather, document, and analyze complex requirements related to automated billing and revenue management.
- System Connectivity & Logic: Bridge business processes with technical teams, translating enterprise business cases into actionable configuration changes and technical solutions utilizing Zuora's API capabilities.
- Data Integration Support: Collaborate with technical teams to optimize and maintain automated data synchronization and workflows between Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, Salesforce, and General Ledger platforms.
- Operational Excellence: Proactively monitor platform health, troubleshoot functional billing issues, and spearhead the implementation of system updates and patch enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively evaluate the latest Zuora platform features and industry trends to continuously optimize system performance and automate manual accounting workstreams.
- 7+ years of experience in subscription management and financial systems, with a strong track record of hands-on platform implementation and team leadership.
- Zuora Functional Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Zuora Billing (required) and Zuora Revenue (RevPro) architecture.
- Order-to-Cash Proficiency: Strong analytical understanding of SaaS workflows, including quoting, invoicing, complex subscription models, and revenue recognition.
- Tech Stack Familiarity: Hands-on experience navigating interconnected ecosystems including Salesforce and Enterprise General Ledger systems like NetSuite.
- Technical Literacy: Solid foundation understanding XML/JSON or scripting languages (like Python) to effectively collaborate with IT developer resources on API integrations.
- Adaptability & Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead projects through ambiguous situations, manage shifting priorities, and seamlessly adopt new financial technologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to translate accounting needs into clear functional specifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), IT, or an equivalent field.
