The Role:
Our Morningstar AdviserLogic - Data Consulting team is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Associate Business Analyst to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, a solution-focused mindset, and a passion for working with data. As an Associate Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to assist with data migration projects, ensuring the successful transition of client data from legacy CRM systems to our platform.
You will work closely with clients to understand their specific requirements, analyze and interpret client data, and collaborate with the database team to ensure accurate data imports. Your role will involve validating the imported data, ensuring it meets client expectations, and coordinating with clients on their specific needs throughout the migration process. This position requires a combination of analytical skills, technical understanding, and client-facing communication.
Responsibilities:
- Data Migration & Conversion:
Assist with data migrations to meet client-specific business requirements. This involves understanding client data from legacy CRM systems, coordinating with the database team to ensure accurate data imports, and reviewing the imported data for correctness. - Client Collaboration:
Work directly with clients to gather specific data migration requirements and address any data-related concerns throughout the process. Ensure the migrated data aligns with the client's business needs. - Data Analysis & Preparation:
Analyze and make sense of client data, providing clear instructions to the database team on how to effectively import the data. Review the migrated data for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with the client's expectations. - Integration Setup:
Support clients in managing their integration requests with the platform, ensuring smooth connectivity between systems. - Quality Assurance:
Actively participate in testing and validating migrated data to ensure high-quality deliverables, contributing to client satisfaction by addressing any data-related issues during the migration process. - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization related to data migration and work with the team to enhance tools and workflows that improve efficiency and reduce errors. - Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., database, technical support) to ensure the data migration process runs smoothly and aligns with client requirements. - Continuous Learning & Contribution:
Contribute to the development of best practices and tools that enhance team productivity and performance. Proactively seek opportunities to add value and improve processes.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years of experience in professional services, data analysis, CRM data handling, or similar fields (experience in financial planning is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and make sense of complex data and identify issues in data migration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on results and client satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
