About this role
About BlackRock
When BlackRock started in 1988, its founders envisioned a company that combined the best of financial services with innovative technology. They imagined a business that would provide financial services to clients as well as technology services to other financial firms. The result of their vision is Aladdin, our industry-leading, end-to-end investment management platform. With assets valued over USD $10 trillion managed on Aladdin by BlackRock alone, and over 150 other investment managers and asset owners using Aladdin, our technology empowers millions of investors to save for retirement, pay for college, buy a home and improve their financial wellbeing.
About Aladdin Data & the Next Generation Security Master Platform
Data is at the core of Aladdin’s differentiation. The Aladdin Data (AD) organization manages BlackRock’s enterprise-wide data ecosystem and operates the Aladdin Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)—the foundation for delivering high-quality, consistent, and trusted data across the firm.
Within AD, Security Master is a critical domain responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tradable instruments, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, digital assets, and private assets.
To support emerging business needs and future growth, we are launching a multi-year initiative to build the Next Generation Security Master (NGSM) platform, fundamentally transforming how instrument data is created, governed, and distributed across Aladdin.
Key Platform Capabilities
- Modern, intuitive GUIs supporting both managed and self-service instrument workflows
- Robust backend services and APIs for seamless platform and application integration
- Cloud-native architecture and advanced data design to ensure scalability, resilience, and performance
This initiative presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of enterprise data infrastructure at one of the world’s leading investment platforms, tackling challenges in instrument data management, identifier strategy, and global data governance.
