Position: AI/ML Specialist – Sustainability, Health & Safety
ERM is seeking skilled and motivated AI/ML professionals to join our India team as part of our global Digital Services business. In this role, you will contribute to developing AI accelerators, intelligent agents, and machine learning models that advance innovation in sustainability, health, and safety domains.

key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI accelerators, agents, and ML models tailored for sustainability, health, and safety use cases.
- Leverage LLMs, BERT, and other NLP/ML frameworks to develop advanced analytics, predictive insights, and automation solutions.
- Work on end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle: problem definition, data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with management consulting teams and domain experts to translate business challenges into scalable AI/ML solutions.
- Build proof-of-concepts (POCs), accelerators, and reusable components that can be scaled for multiple clients.
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, present solutions, and ensure successful delivery and adoption.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by researching new AI techniques, sustainability data models, and generative AI applications.
- Document solutions, develop knowledge assets, and support internal/external training sessions.
key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in AI/ML solution development, with exposure to LLMs, NLP, and predictive modeling.
- Hands-on Experience in AI Agent development: demonstrable experience in agentic-AI development using Python, LangGraph, LangChain, and Model Context Protocol.
- Consulting Background: Experience working in management consulting, professional services, and client-facing projects is highly desirable.
- Strong client engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong problem-solving ability, with a passion for innovation in sustainability, ESG, and safety-related AI applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Preferred techncial Skills & Tools
- AI/ML Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers (BERT, GPT, LLaMA, etc.).
- NLP/LLM Development: Prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embedding models, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure Cognitive Search).
- Data Engineering & Analytics: Python, SQL, Pandas, PySpark.
- Microsoft Ecosystem: Azure AI, Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI.
- MLOps & Deployment: GitHub Actions, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps.
- Visualization & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of sustainability, ESG reporting standards, or health & safety data models is a plus.
