The role in a nutshell:
The person in this role will be responsible for managing, recording, posting, and updating financial data in the system. They will be individually responsible for managing payments and, as a team member, for updating financial records. The role will also involve coordinating with the Compliance Manager and external consultants.
How you will make a difference:
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions and posting the entries in books of accounts.
Preparation and generation of Financial Statements, Income statements and Cash Flow Statements and Balance Sheet Recs as monthly requirement.
Supporting in preparation of the data for internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Supporting in preparation of the data for Statutory Audit, Tax audits etc to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Prepare and file TDS returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Assist in the budgeting process by providing financial data and forecasts to help organizations plan and allocate resources effectively.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Maintain proper documentation and records of financial transactions, reports, and related documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Coordinating with vendors as and when required for outstanding payments and year end reconciliation.
Preparation of Bank file for the vendor payments everyday
What will give you an advantage:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree (M.Com/MBA) or a professional qualification (CA Inter, CMA, or CPA) is a plus.
2-5 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or a similar role.
Experience with financial reconciliations, audits, and tax compliance is preferred.
Knowledge of GST and preparing monthly GST Returns and coordinating with consultants.
Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and financial record-keeping.
Proficiency in bank reconciliations and vendor payment processing
Attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
